The National High Performance Computing Alliance (https://www.nhr-verein.de/) is Germany's coordinated network of high-performance computing centers. Established through a joint initiative of the federal and state governments, the alliance provides nationwide access to advanced computing resources and expertise for academic research. ZIB is one of nine NHR centers selected through a competitive scientific evaluation process.

Our Operations Team operates the Lise supercomputer ensuring secure user access, high system availability, and efficient management of computing resources.
Our Consultants support researchers throughout the entire project lifecycle - from application porting and performance optimization to workflow design and efficient use of large-scale storage systems. Their expertise spans life sciences, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering, physics, and other computational disciplines.
Together, our Consultants and the Operations Team provide a reliable and user-oriented HPC environment that enables researchers to tackle computational challenges across a wide range of scientific disciplines.
